JUDGMENT (aka .357 VIGILANTE #1)
ADJOURNED (aka .357 VIGILANTE #2: MAKE THEM PAY)
PAYBACK (aka .357 VIGILANTE #3: WHITE WASH)
GUILTY (aka .357 VIGILANTE #4: KILLSTORM)
THE JURY SERIES (all four books in one), also available in paperback

he four books in the JURY series were published in 1985 under the title .357 Vigilante by Ian Ludlow... a pseudonym for Lee Goldberg, who wrote the books while he was a UCLA student, under the supervision of his professor, novelist Lewis Perdue (The DaVinci Legacy, The Queensgate Reckoning, Daughter of God, etc). Goldberg would later go on to write and/or produce such TV shows as Monk, Diagnosis Murder, SeaQuest, and The Glades and write many more novels, including THE WALK and the best-selling MONK series of original mysteries.

JUDGEMENT JUDGMENT

UDGMENT is the classic action/adventure novel that was a runaway paperback sensation in the 1980s...and that skyrocketed the career of Lee Goldberg, best-selling author of THE WALK, the MR. MONK novels, and THE DEAD MAN...

Brett Macklin was a freewheeling son of sunny California, a collector of vintage cars and a connoisseur of beautiful women. But when his father is murdered by a street gang, Macklin becomes something else—a deadly weapon against crime, a relentless vigilante who won't stop until he's wiped out the killers who have turned Los Angeles into a war zone.

(Originally published as the first book in the .357 Vigilante series, under the pen name Ian Ludlow.)

PRAISE

"JUDGMENT has an amped-up, neon-bright, 'burning rubber down the main drag doing sixty while blaring Motley Crue so loud you can't even think' sort of quality. And that's how I like it."
   —Post-Modern Pulps

"Generous helpings of sex and violent action, along with some smart-aleck dialog. But if you're a fan of Robert B. Parker, Dirty Harry, or the Die Hard movies, you'll have a very good time."
—J.A Konrath, author of THE LIST and AFRAID

ADJOURNED ADJOURNED

he second, action-packed book in the JURY SERIES saga. After a family tragedy, Brett Macklin has sworn to take the law into his own hands and make the guilty pay. This time, Macklin's target is Wesley Saputo, porn kingpin and murderer, who has slipped through the courts time after time, only to kidnap, rape and kill again...and again. Macklin's mission: locate and destroy Saputo before he finds another innocent life to destroy.

PRAISE

"Lee Goldberg is well-known for his novels about Monk, the obsessive-compulsive detective, but years ago, when Goldberg was a college student, he was already making his mark as a writer, albeit under a pen name. These were the days when series books aimed at the men's market were showing up everywhere, and the ones by Goldberg, about a vigilante out to rid the world of scum, are still entertaining today. Fast-moving, filled with sex, violence, and snappy patter, these are just the thing for people who like expert storytelling and action-packed escapist novels. Check 'em out."
—Bill Crider, author of OUTRAGE AT BLANCO

Payback PAYBACK

he third, red-hot book in the action-packed JURY SERIES saga. A sadist with a hunger for victims is stalking the streets of Los Angeles—leaving a trail of destruction which threatens to engulf the city in racial violence. And he's calling himself...Mr. Jury. Now vigilante Brett Macklin, the real Mr. Jury, is hitting the killing ground with just seventy hours to hunt down the deadly impostor and clear his name. All he has to do is take on an army of fanatical white supremacists, stop a news-hungry reporter from digging too deep into his past, and save a tough black cop from being buried alive. Time and luck are running out.

(Originally published in the 1980s as White Wash, the third book in the .357 Vigilante series under the pen name Ian Ludlow)

PRAISE

"This gritty, action-packed escapist yarn explodes straight out of the freewheeling 1980's, when Reagan was President, Farrah Fawcett was a superstar, and JURY SERIES author Lee Goldberg was still a teenager. But you'd never know his age from the sharp writing, wicked wit, wall-to-wall action, and over-the-top sex in the books. Okay, except for the sex, you'd never know. (If you've read Goldberg's Monk series, you know he brings humor to the scene of the crime). Some readers have complained about typos, but that must have been an earlier edition. This all-new edition is just fine. So click the buy button and have a ton of fun."
—Paul Levine, bestselling author of SOLOMAN & LORD

ADJOURNED GUILTY

he final, pulse-pounding book in the bloody, action-packed JURY SERIES. Brett Macklin faces his greatest adversary yet—a ruthless, professional hit woman, seductress and master of disguise who launches a campaign of terror and bloodshed against him, pushing the vigilante to the emotional and physical breaking point, unleashing a bloody killstorm on the L.A. streets.

This is the fourth and final book in the series, never before published in print, caught up in the bankruptcy of Pinnacle Books, the original publisher. For decades, it was considered "lost" and coveted by fans of the men's action adventure genre...before it was finally found and, at long last, published as an ebook.

(This book was previously released on the Kindle under its original title, .357 Vigilante #4: Killstrom)
